Caroline & Agustin @ The Arbory

A wedding filled with nonstop laughter and joy!

Caroline and Agustin are one of those couples that just never stop smiling. When we captured their engagement session the summer before, I knew then that their wedding day was going to be even more delightful. The couple chose one of my favorite venues for their wedding: The Arbory. The Arbory has everything: beautiful skylights and two different plant walls, gorgeous exposed brick, and space for your ceremony and reception. Caroline and Agustin chose to have their ceremony at Caroline’s family church: Wicker Park Lutheran Church. Caroline and her wedding party got ready nearby at Hyatt Place in Wicker Park, and the couple had their first look on the hotel’s rooftop.

Following their first look, we headed to Wicker Park Lutheran Church to take wedding party photos before their ceremony. The church’s beautiful front steps made for the perfect backdrop for pictures. Caroline and Agustin tucked away before the ceremony as their guests started to arrive. Their ceremony was filled with religious and cultural elements from both sides, as well as the couple’s vows and more than a few tears from their families and friends.

The Arbory was decorated to the nines, thanks to the couple’s amazing planner, Michelle Ganti Events, and with some help from Vintage Place Settings. As guests walked into The Arbory, they were greeted by music by Mariachi Estrellas de Chicago and appetizers from Cocina Fusion. The lighting in The Arbory was absolutely stunning, and before the guests sat down to dinner, I went overboard taking detail photos (but really, there is no such thing as going overboard for those moments!). Oh, also, check out their wedding cake topper. As a fellow Animal Crossing fan, I freaked OUT (and Agustin’s mother MADE IT!)

Caroline and Agustin had their first dance before dinner, which lead to a hilarious moment when Agustin accidentally kicked over and broke one of glass candle holders on the floor! Everyone laughed and cheered, like it was a deliberate celebratory moment. After their first dance, some close friends and family members gave toasts while guests enjoyed dinner. We snapped a few photos in front of The Arbory’s iconic front doors, and then it was time for the open dance floor! This wedding was a perfect summer wedding, and I loved every minute of it.
