What’s better than a gothic-style wedding with your best friends and family at a Michelin star restaurant?

Alicia and Shane’s wedding was every goth girl’s dream. It’s no surprise that I love a nontraditional vibe, and their day was just perfect. Shane got ready at home with his groomsmen, while Alicia and her bridesmaids got ready at a hotel nearby the venue. After having an amazing morning with their respective people, Alicia and Shane had their first look on the first floor of Moody Tongue. The matte black fireplace and deep, dark wood made for such a gorgeous backdrop!

The basement of Moody Tongue is their brewery space and where Alicia and Shane had their ceremony. Surrounded by barrels of Moody Tongue’s pilsners and lagers, the couple exchanged vows and shed a few tears. Their cocktail hour was held upstairs, with the most amazing appetizers. When guests went back downstairs for dinner, the DJ introduced the wedding party and the newly married couple to cheers and applause. Some of the groomsmen even wore blue wigs as an homage to the bride’s gorgeous galaxy hair! Once the dance floor opened for the night, all bets were off! Everyone jumped out of their seat and busted out their favorite moves. I took the couple outside of Moody Tongue during golden hour for a champagne pop, followed by a few portraits with the city’s skyline in the background.

Some weddings truly stand out to me, and this was definitely one of them. Congratulations to Alicia and Shane!
