This couple had a beautiful late fall wedding surrounded by the city skyline!

Alicia and Zach gathered their friends and family from all around the country, while the couple came from central Illinois. They chose Morgan’s on Fulton for their gorgeous views of Fulton Market (the venue’s floor to ceiling windows and skylight can’t be beat!). The couple kept the day simple: no wedding party, no trolley to different places, just enjoying the day at the venue. The cutest part of the day? Their daughter, who was so excited to be a part of everything (and wear a super fancy dress!)

The couple’s ceremony was short and sweet, officiated by a friend while their friends and family sat at their dinner tables. Alicia wore a gorgeous dress with stunning cape and gloves, while the couple and their daughter wore matching Doc Martens! After their ceremony, they snapped some pics with friends and family while everyone enjoyed the magnificent view of the city.

Morgan’s on Fulton is one of my favorite venues in the city, and for good reason! You literally can’t take a bad photo with such a gorgeous backdrop. After the couple and I took portraits on Fulton, they cut their beautiful wedding cake with their daughter. Friends and family gave toasts that made everyone laugh (and cry, just a little!). And then, of course, it was time for dancing! I’ve said it a hundred times, but one of my favorite moments in the day is an open dancefloor. Kids and adults sang along to the hits, and Alicia and Zach were right there with them.

Quick note!
One of my favorite techniques on the dance floor is shutter drag. It makes the lights come alive and move across the image like they’re moving. Morgan’s on Fulton’s hanging lights were perfect for this!
