Erin & Noelle @ The Walden

Erin and Noelle held a meaningful and queer wedding at the Walden that had more than a few people crying happy tears.

Queer weddings are always purposeful. The couple often takes the time to honor those queer pioneers who paved the way for their marriage, and their ceremony holds extra meaning. Erin and Noelle gathered their chosen friends and closest family members for their small, intimate wedding at the Walden. The couple chose to get ready together, alongside their family and friends, in order to spend as much time together as possible. Their ceremony, on the top floor of the Walden, was in the round and allowed the couple to freely move around and face different friends and family throughout.

The late afternoon light poured through the windows at the Walden as guests took their seats and hugged one another. Erin and Noelle had LGBTQ flags for guests to hold during the ceremony (which made for beautiful photos as they walked down the aisle after exchanging vows!) The couple’s family members walked down the aisle holding flowers and collectively built a bouquet at the altar. Erin and Noelle walked down opposite ends of the room and met in the middle, where Erin’s brother officiated the ceremony. Different family members offered readings, while the couple exchanged personal vows. Erin and Noelle (and more than a few guests!) shed tears during their vows. After their first kiss, the couple walked down the aisle together while friends and family waved rainbow flags in celebration.

The reception space at the Walden can hold so many people, but the couple’s intimate guest count made the space feel cozy. Southside Blooms decorated the space with the most beautiful arrangements. Erin and Noelle shared their first dance before dinner, and friends offered heartfelt toasts (and roasts!). The best part of the day? The three of us went up to the rooftop during golden hour, and the views and lighting took their breath away. We captured so many moments of pure joy and love. Erin shared a first dance with her father, and then the dance floor opened up! Guests danced the night away right alongside the happy couple.

Congratulations Erin and Noelle!
